Planning Meeting #4 Notes – 03/18/24
What a productive meeting! In-person attendees were: Gary Schuessler, Bryan Johnson, Kelly Holloway, Darla Luhring, Al Bisher and me. Zoom attendees were: Kim Eaker.

*Kim sent out test emails the last few weeks to see if the information we have from 2019 is still good. A lot of these were not answered. Please check your in box and trash folders. We would appreciate a reply. If you haven’t heard from her please reach out to lbbennett@yahoo.com or kab_4_3@yahoo.com.
Friday, July 12, 2024:
*(No new updates yet) The Booster Club golf tournament will be Friday during the day. Allen Toole will be heading this up. If you want to play in the tournament, contact Allen Toole as soon as possible at atoole@ldd.net or 573-382-7713 and let him know if you want to play in the morning or afternoon. The cost will be approximately $125/per person.
*(No new updates yet) Friday Susan Richards Barnes is setting up a winery tour for Friday late morning/afternoon. If you are interested in joining this let her know – justsusan13@hotmail.com.
*Friday evening we will gather at The Library in downtown Cape beginning at 6:00 (doors open at 4:00 if you want to start earlier). They will have food available to order and cash bar. Alan Bisher and Gary Schuessler have scheduled a band, formerly known as The Switch (Powderly twins, Marty Fowler and Darius Seabaugh), to play Friday night.
Saturday, July 13, 2024:
*Kelly provided bids for the caterers: Top of the Marq and The Southerner. We voted to use Top of the Marq based on their pricing, menu and they are the resident caterer at the Buckner-Ragsdale building.
*Regarding hotel discounts: Lizz checked with Mid-America hotels and they offered the same pricing as Fairfield, however, they required one of us to sign an agreement that we were not comfortable signing.

*Lizz & Kelly are working on a memorial display for our classmates who have passed. We also learned that our classmate, Scott Tygett passed away so he is being added to the list. His obituary has been shared on our class group on Facebook.
*Kim and Laura will work on an agenda for the evening, especially noting the times for Elementary School photos. We will not have a professional photographer, everyone can use their cell phones and share photos. We are also going to come up with a banner or sign to use for each of the Elementary School photos. A suggestion was made to set up a photo booth with props to hopefully get people to interact more. Laura has a backdrop and a lot of props she has used for photo booths at family reunions so she will bring that Saturday.
*While our meeting was going on, we managed to get 95 flyers/registration forms ready to mail. They will go out in the mail Tuesday, March 19, 2024. These were mailed to those who have not replied to emails or we do not have email addresses for them.
*If you know of any teachers you would like to invite, please do so. Let them know they will not be charged to attend and there will be a cash bar. If you do invite any teachers and they plan to come, please let Laura Dillman Bennett know so they can be included in the count for food.
Next meeting: Monday, April 22, 2024 at 5:30 pm at Advanced Pest Control, 530 County Road 317, Cape Girardeau, MO. We will also set up a Zoom meeting to begin at 5:45 pm and post the link on this Facebook page.
